Macro
For these images I used a macro converter and a light box. I experimented with white balance so that the purple of the chives really stood out. I like the angles of the images and the shallow depth of field.
Advertising Photography
I took these shots in the studio, using a soft box to light the cakes. I think the patterned background worked well with the cakes and I was pleased with the results.
Studio - Alien Brief
For this brief we worked with the media make up students who's brief was about aliens. It was the first shoot that I had done where the subjects where not class mates or someone that I knew, which made it fairly challenging. I liked working within the studio and I think that some of the images turned out really well.
Documentary
For our documentary brief, I went to one of my favorite shops - 69a. 69a is an antique and vintage clothes shop with lots of interesting objects and so I thought that it would be fun to document. I tried to get a mixture of wide and details shots and I think the images work well together.
Head Space
This was a surrealism brief, which I chose to base on nursery rhymes. It was fairly hard to produce my final images because there was a lot of post production involved. I think the images work fairly well, there are bits where the post production could be improved but the project was good practice for expanding my skills in photoshop.
Directed shoot
For this shoot I wanted to experiment with lights, using just fairy lights and candles. I think the shoot went fairly well but I think the concept worked better than the final images, so, when I get the time I want to try and re-shoot to see if I can get any better results.
Motion
For these images I wanted to experiment with movement and practice using my flash gun. It was good to experiment in different locations where the light was coming from different directions and I thin the final images work really well.
